History
The conception of Shepherd TimeClock arrived out of the rising needs and demand of the Client's of ComputerOne, Inc., Master Distributor of Shepherd TimeClock. As the business issues and requirements of the end-users became more sophisticated, as well as the demand for the product, a market unfolded.

The product went into full production with the foresight of a unique position in the market place by utilizing all the Microsoft® development tools and technology in addition to leveraging Microsoft® Active Directory application security integration. At this point in the junction, Visionary-Founder-CEO, Jonathan E. Cox, was not satisfied with the uniqueness of the product offering. As a result, a business partnership was formed with a manufacturer of Biometric Authentication software. Through strategic planning and design, four layers of security (User Name & Password, Active Directory, Punch ID, and Bio-Metric Authentication) evolved for the Shepherd TimeClock.

In addition to the security features, Jonathan wanted the product to be affordable by all business. He architected a Hosted version of the Shepherd TimeClock for the development team to compose. Now there are three version of the product Shepherd TimeClock-Traditional Edition , Shepherd TimeClock-BIO Edition, and Shepherd TimeClock ASP Edition. This provided the unique product and market position for which he was looking.

Through extensive market research it was determined that prospects in the small, mid-size, and enterprise market wanted a flexible, scalable, robust, Sabin Oxley and HIPAA compliant, no buddy punching allowed time and attendance software solution that did not require ongoing IT personnel. Shepherd TimeClock was embraced by the market sector. The goal and objectives were achieved. It was time to Go-To-Market.
