Shepherd Biometric Authentication
No more “buddy-punching.” Shepherd Biometric Authentication adds that final layer of authentication to your time management problem. By requiring a biometric fingerprint to your system you are assured to know that your employees are clocking in for themselves.

How it works
After an initial enrollment of your fingerprint in Shepherd’s Time Clock, your fingerprint’s matrix is stored and associated with a username and password. When you “Punch The Clock” you simply authenticate yourself by placing your fingerprint on the Shepherd Time Clock BioPod.

Both convenience and security
The problem with traditional passwords is that you can’t have both convenience and security. If the password is simple, it’s easy to crack. If it’s sophisticated, it’s hard to remember and both types can be shared with a friend or stolen. Fingerprint authentication gives you the best of both words: a password that is easy to remember (it’s your finger), impossible to share and hard to crack.
